Why did you decide to study English, specifically in Oxford

at Kings?

The reason why I decided to study English was because I thought that English is a worldwide, national language, so being able to speak English is better than not for my future.

To be exact, I’d like to visit see some more countries and knowing English would be helpful.

The reason why I choose Kings Oxford was because when I searched language schools, I wanted to learn English and do art at the same time.

Then I found out that Kings offer both, and this is why I chose Kings.

I had also considered Kings New York and London, but the main reason I choose Oxford was because I’d heard Oxford is a safe city for students, so I thought it was the best place for me to concentrate on my studies.

Also, Oxford Kings has digital design class, and this was also one of the reasons why I choose Oxford.

What course did you study and why and for how long for?

I chose to do the English plus art course and studied for 11 months.

I chose this course because I thought if I could do art and learn English at the same time, it would be great.

The art class wasn’t what I first expected but turned out to be my favourite place and part of my life in the UK.

I thought there would be some art classes, but I it turned out I could do whatever I wanted outside of class and continue coming back to the art school and make artwork, which was good for me because I could make a lot more that I had first thought.

What are your thoughts on being a young international

student studying in Oxford?

I’m not sure say that I’m a young student! But I will say I felt safe in Oxford.

Being surrounded by so much history and such beauty made me feel motivated to study.

I think Oxford is great place to be a student.

Also, even though I’m not an Oxford University student, I felt like I could be proud of myself.

What would you say has been the highlight for you while

studying at Kings?

This is a really hard question to answer. I want to say many things, such as Italian cooking club, day trips to Brighton, some parties at St. Joe’s campus and the river cruise party.

Also outside of activities, hanging out or cooking something with my friends was great, because they always made me happy. Friends are really my treasure in this experience.

But if I had to choose within school life and the school activities,

I’ll say volleyball. I really enjoyed it.

Even I didn’t know everyone’s names, I felt like everyone was my friend and that was special to me.

Can you tell us about the friendships you’ve made?

Meeting new friends was the most wonderful thing about my time at Kings.

Friends are really my treasure in this experience as I said.

How good my English was, was not the biggest problem in making friends.

You could get close to anyone as everyone feels the same and wants to make friends too.

I remember my first friend at Kings. She was so kind, and we always stayed together, she made me feel comfortable. Also, one of my friends kept forcing me to join their plans in good way!

I think that was the reason I could make many friends, and I’m really thankful for that.

All of the friends I’ve made are lovely and kind people.

Friends linger most in my memory.

I really miss them already.

How would you describe your teachers and the style of

teaching at Kings?

They are very friendly and lovely. When I said hello, they always say back “Hi” back to me, I really loved that.

You can tell the teachers care about their students.

They have each different styles of teaching, some teachers are very funny and engaging and some teachers are really good at making our English better.

I have absolutely improved my English because of them. Besides, they were like friends out of class.

I could enjoy chatting with them and always felt comfortable.

That was a really good thing for me.

Would you recommend Kings to someone else and if so, why?

Yes, I would, especially Oxford Kings.

I don’t know about other languages schools well, but I think Kings in a special place to study and learn.

Kings Oxford has good teachers and lovely staff.

The teachers gave me good materials to learn from and were great teachers to learn English.

The extracurricular activities are also enjoyable, and the staff are very kind and make us all feel welcome.

People in general are nice and helpful, and I feel like Kings has a good balance between study and play.

It’s somewhere where you can improve our English and experience life living in the UK all where growing and learning as you go, that’s why I would recommend Kings Oxford.
